Allowed / Forbidden Objects

To ensure a safe environment for our clientele and employees, the Festival d’été de Québec collaborates with public safety, police and medical authorities on all questions concerning the safety of our sites. These regulations are governed by a standardized safety measures protocol that is followed by other events of this kind worldwide.

Accordingly, please take note that bags and strollers will be searched before they are admitted to our sites. The Festival also reserves the right, under certain circumstances, to conduct a frisk or a handwand physical search.

All bags will be searched.

To get to our sites faster, come WITHOUT your bag.

The following objects are allowed on Festival sites

  • Beach towel
  • Binoculars
  • Disposable cameras and non-professional (professional = interchangeable lenses)
  • Empty crushable (disposable) plastic bottles, or empty CamelBak
  • Guide dog
  • Light meals (ex : sandwich, fruits)
  • Non-professional digital cameras (professional = interchangeable lenses)
  • Plastic baby bottle and cups
  • Prescription drugs
  • Seat pad with a back having no metal frame
  • Small backpack/bag
  • Stroller
  • Sunscreen (maximum 250 ml)

The following objects are forbidden on Festival sites

  • Accessories with studs and shot
  • Animals
  • Audio recorder with microphone
  • Bat, ball, balloon of all kinds
  • Camera stands, selfie stick, tripods or similar equipment
  • Can
  • Chain or wallets with a chain
  • Cooler, thermos, Nalgene-type flasks, plastic, glass or metal container
  • Drug and related accessories
  • Fireworks or firecrackers
  • Glass bottle
  • Inflatable object
  • Knives and blunt object
  • Large camping-style backpack
  • Laser pointer
  • Liquid beverages of all kinds – Drinking fountains are located on the Plains of Abraham and on the Parc de la Francophonie site.
  • Megaphone
  • Motorcycle or bike helmets
  • Musical instrument
  • Object intended for sale/promotion without signed written permission from the Festival
  • Object that could put the safety of other spectators at risk
  • Portable or folding chair and seat pad with metal frame
  • Professional video or photo equipment (professional = interchangeable lenses)
  • Skateboards and inline skates
  • Tablet and Ipad
  • Tent
  • Umbrella
  • Water pistol

No weapons, animals, alcohol, drugs and related accessories, fireworks or firecrackers are allowed in the checkrooms.

The checkrooms are located at the entrances to the Bell Stage on the Plains of Abraham and the Loto-Québec Stage at the Parc de la Francophonie.

A 5$ cash fee will be charged.

The Festival d’été de Québec accepts no responsibility for these objects.

All bags must be searched before they are left in the checkrooms.
